Our Story

Divas with a Twist is a Boston based musical group that features 5 powerhouse female vocalists with professional theatre backgrounds combined with Grammy nominated musicians. Looking for a music project that was different from  the typical band, this group of talented performers have collaborated to create a dynamic night of musical entertainment!  They perform  pop, rock, R&B, 60's, 70's and 80's 90's and current with tight harmonies and original arrangements that are fresh and exciting! This is one show you do not want to miss!

Joyce was last seen at Club Cafe Boston with Brian DeLorenzo in Nov. 2021. They performed their cabaret show "Come What May" to a sold out audience. Her last stage show was in 2012 at The Company Theatre, Norwell where she played a leading role in the World Premiere of Paragon Park, The Musical. She has worked with Jason Robert Brown, composer of Songs for A New World where she sang Christmas Lullaby. Joyce has played numerous leading roles with The Company Theatre of Norwell. She was in the Boston cast of Nunsense I & II playing the role of Sister Mary Leo. She is currently a School Bus Driver for Whitman-Hanson.

Ralph is a self taught BASS PLAYER/SONGWRITER/SINGER/EDUCATOR who began his musical career playing in Boston's original music scene. His professional attitude and versatile Bass playing enables him to do what he loves, "Teaching, Recording & Playing Live Music!"

Tracy was winner of the premiere POPSearch competiion in 2004 where she was featured as a guest soloist with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra during Independence Day and also at the South Shore Music Circus. She sang with the Pops for the Democratic National Convention opening concert, performed for an opening night at the Pops and the Pops "America" concert with the Tanglewood Chorus. At the Pops event she shared the stage with Lou Rawls, Faith Prince, Maureen McGovern and the legendary Drifters. Tracy also sang back up for recording artist Clay Aiken, Josh Groban and sang with American Idol Semifinalist Nick Pedro. Tracy has performed the national anthem at the NE Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Celtics Openings. Along with her Pops experience she has been seen on stage in Big River, Smokey Joe's Café, Sarah in Ragtime with the Company Theatre in Norwell and most recently as Effie in Dreamgirls where she was nominated for a EMACT award. Tracy is very dedicated to her church commitment at Brockton Assembly of God and is also a member of a local gospel group Love Divine

Christine, "Christabelle" Joyce has been performing musical theatre in the Boston and South Shore area for 30 years and has been with Divas with a Twist from its beginnings. She has performed numerous productions at The Company Theatre in Norwell having played Amneris in Aida, April in Company, Georgie in Full Monty, as well as Mary in It's a Wonderful Life. Other favorite roles include the Witch in Into the Woods and Fastrada in Pippin and many other productions as one of the founding members of The New World Theatre Company. Christine cantors liturgical services and is a soloist for weddings and funerals throughout the New England. Christine holds her degree in Nursing from Saint Anselm College and by day is a Registered Critical Care Nurse in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab in Boston. She is married and resides in Weymouth with her husband Pat and two children Nora and Patrick.

Paula resides in East Bridgewater and has performed professionally in the South Shore/Boston area for many years. She has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Rex Smith, Clay Aiken and Len Cariou. Favorite theatrical roles include 'Donna' in Mamma Mia, 'Mother' in Ragtime (for which she received an IRNE nomination in 2018 for best actress), 'Mrs. Potts' in Beauty and the Beast, 'Anne Hampton Calloway' in Swing!, as well as several characters in the comedy 'Momologues'. She is a proud mom, Reiki Master, a member of the South Shore Women's Business Network and, currently, the Director of Enrollment at the South Shore Conservatory.

Rick Morin, who is from Attleboro, created the Rhythm Room, an all original, world music ensemble. This group has performed with such artists as Bernard Purdie (Steely Dan drummer),Dom Famularo (world renowned drum clinician, educator and motivational speaker) and Clave Logic (world class percussion ensemble). The Rhythm Room performed in 2006 at the American Cancer Society's Celebration on the Hill in Washington, DC. Rick was the drummer/percussionist for Heart to Heart Productions founded by Eric Larivee, an accomplished New York cabaret performer. Heart to Heart Productions has performed with Tony Award-winning actress/singer Betty Buckley and Academy Award-winning actress/singer Shirley Jones. Rick was also a guest drummer for Broadway/Movie actor Michael Leon Wooley, Disney's The Princess and the Frog, Dream Girls and Little Shop of Horrors at the Opera House in Boothbay Harbor, ME. Rick is currently the drummer for Paris Cabaret, home of the Starline Room Dinner Theatre, Stoughton, MA. He was also a world percussion performer with Dr. Krishna Raghavendra and RARE (Raga and Rhythm Ensemble), a group comprised of highly acclaimed performers from South India. RARE performed with internationally acclaimed jazz musician and legendary saxophonist Charlie Mariano in May 2002. Rick was also the Percussionist/Drummer for an original band, Spiney Normand which was a Boston-based touring band.

Nicole has been performing in the Boston area for 20 years. She studied music at the University of Connecticut, New England Conservatory of Music and UMASS Boston where she holds a degree in both vocal performance and music education. While at UMASS Nicole performed with their jazz band at various venues around Boston. She also played the role of Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls at Massasoit Community College and had a featured role in Damn Yankees with the Company Theatre. Nicole has also performed at the Paris Cabaret in Stoughton where she played Maria in West Side Story, Laurie in Oklahoma, Grace in Annie and Rosie in Bye Bye Birdie. She currently holds a Master's degree in Education and teaches 5th grade in the Newton Public Schools. Nicole lives in Hyde Park with her husband Peter and their three Children Jaden, Oliver and Savannah.
